National
National YJ Teens offers opportunities for teens across the US to connect both in person and online, fostering community and bringing our values to life! Our signature event is the National Convention held in January at a Northeast camp, where teens explore key issues, participate in peer-led activities, elect National Teen Leaders, and enjoy lively Saturday night Rikkud (Israeli dance). No local YJ involvement is needed to attend.
National YJ Teens also lead our National Initiative, a cause chosen yearly through an election process. In the 2024-25, the National Initiative is on combatting antisemitism. We’re excited for a dynamic year ahead!
Regional

Midwest
Midwest YJ Teens is mainly based in Pittsburgh and Chicago, but our participants come from all over the Midwest, including Ohio, Michigan, and beyond. We have day events as well as overnights and holiday parties, and our annual Midwest Convention in March. Our programming is reflective of YJ’s values, and our “Midwest Maz” (teen leaders) have a hand in planning all of our programs.
Northeast
Northeast YJ Teens spans from Boston down to DC, and holds many events in the NYC/NJ area. We have a Northeast convention in April that brings the whole region together, and many local events throughout the year. Our “Northeast Maz” (teen leaders) bring their energy and enthusiasm to creative programming for the whole region.
Southeast
We’re just getting started in the Southeast! Based primarily in Atlanta, spanning from DC to South Florida, our Southeast Region is picking up speed with a brand new “Atlanta Maz” (teen leaders) who have taken the initiative to spearhead new activities and build regional and local programing.
Texas
Texas YJ Teens takes place in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio and Houston and will be holding the first-ever Texas/West Regional Convention in March! Our events include CYJ Texas Camp Reunions as well as events open to all teens in the area that focus on building community, discussions about Israel and creating engagement. Join us!
West
Our West region, located in LA, had a beautiful first event in the spring, a rousing Shabbat dinner hosted in the home of our Mazkira (teen leader of the board)! We are going into the new year with a full Mazkirut and excitement for what we can build together for Jewish teens in LA. Be part of our exciting time of growth!
